Worthing for me today, near the sailing club, from 12 to 2pm. Thought I would miss the long low tide walk by holding on, but ended up with a challenging high tide launch and landing 2 hours later!!! Rigged 4m Ezzy and maybe should have hauled the shape out of it but went with a well set foil and suffered the consequences with dignity. It was classic onshore worthing winter conditions, sailing parallel to the shore in the rain and big swell. But the direction was the pleasant surprise as it was soon swinging round towards cross on direction between heavy squalls. The inside was a little lighter on the wind so I could get some sailing down wind along the wave face. Quite odd to be able to go clew first down the line with 30mph plus onshore. A few swoops later on were quite controlled on long smoothed out wave faces. But still a battering as soon as you gybed back into the wind again.

The swell was a decent size and further out I stood up on my toes in the trough of the wave and the crest was certainly some distance above nose high. Landed back ashore in one clean go, but had to leap off and sprint 10 steps through the froth to reach the upper shingle shelf. good buzz.
